Early Music America

Producer: Catharina Meints

EMA 101 *

Early Music America and Dorian Records cosponsor a contest open to all early music groups in North America. Competing groups submit tapes with performances of chamber music written between 1600-1800, using authentic performance practices and historic al instruments. The winning ensemble receives a recording contract with Dorian Records. Because of the quality of the entries, Early Music America decided to issue a special CD of the other finalists for the 1999-2000 competition.
